One of our all-time favourite suppliers has got to be Pump Street. Originally the company was set up as a bakery in the village of Orford on Suffolk’s Heritage Coast.

Nestled in the lush Worcestershire countryside, Walsgrave Farm and the Goodman Family have been rearing turkeys and geese since the 1950’s and supplying us since 2005 with their free-range, hand-reared poultry for Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations alike.

Each Christmas Melrose and Morgan’s Christmas baking begins in earnest with the making of mincemeat in preparation for the thousands of mince pies will be baking in the coming weeks.

In Season - November: With the onset of November, winter feels even more close. However, it’s still very much autumn as far as the food calendar is concerned, with the fruits (and vegetables) of gardens, fields and orchards, still in abundance, as we await the first frosts
