Nestled in the lush Worcestershire countryside, Walsgrave Farm and the Goodman Family have been rearing turkeys and geese since the 1950’s and supplying us since 2005 with their free-range, hand-reared poultry for Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations alike.

You’ll find Fenton Farm on the Somerset and Devon border near Holcombe Rogus. It’s a 155 acre farm that is now run by Andrew Gabriel and his family, who are third generation farmers on this land.

19th September to 4th October sees the annual celebration of all things British when it comes to food. More than ever we are appreciating food grown and produced here in the British Isles.

An apple a day? Well that’s certainly possible for nine months of the year, if you want to eat an apple grown here in the UK. The first apple of the season arrives early in August, most commonly the Discovery, followed by Spartan, Bramley, Cox, Red Windsor, Egremont Russet and Jonagold, with some varieties that can be kept in store until at least April of the following year.
