BBQ Sauce
A simple (but very delicious) BBQ sauce to marinade ahead of grilling meat, fish or vegetables over your BBQ.
Try marinading chicken thighs overnight in the sauce or brush over salmon fillets before grilling.
100ml soy sauce
30g dark brown sugar
3 cloves garlic minced
1 thumb fresh ginger grated
1 tsp mild chilli powder
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp sesame oil
3 tbsp miso paste
1 tbsp cornstarch
60ml water
Add the first eight ingredients into a pan and gently bring to the boil to dissolve the sugar. Remove from the heat.
Whisk the cornstarch and water together and add to the sauce
Return to the heat and cook slowly until thickened.
Cool and place into a clean jar with a lid
Keep in the fridge for a month (if it lasts that long!)
