MELROSE AND MORGAN
This mini-chain of north London delis has a serious USP: an extensive house range of groceries made in small batches from mostly British ingredients. Aesthetically pleasing red-and-white jars of ketchup, pickles and jams are neatly arranged alongside packets of their moreish granola, crackers, chocolates and biscuits. But they don’t just sell their own snacks – other London-based producers get a look in, too, including Secret Smokehouse, Hackney Gelato and La Fromagerie. There are quiches, salads, sandwiches and cakes to eat or take away. But buyers beware, the quality of the products is high – with the price tags to match.
