About the opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our lovely head office team of 8 as we look to expand the business. The successful candidate will process over 400 invoices per month and reconcile the bank transactions on a daily basis, process sales invoices and chase payment from our customers, and will have the opportunity to learn about different areas of the business. We are an ambitious and fun-loving team and we are looking for someone like-minded to join us in our next adventure.
The candidate will have the flexibility to manage their week as they see fit, with a minimum of 2 days working from our Head Office in Gospel Oak.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping, maintaining of sales and purchase ledgers
- Bank reconciliations, which includes resolving any discrepancies between customer invoices and customer payments
- Supplier Statement Reconciliation
- To negotiate utility contracts for all locations of the business
- Miscellaneous office and operational support
Skills & Competencies:
- Minimum 2 years experience in bookkeeping preferrable
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable talking to customers and suppliers
- Experience using Xero is preferably but not mandatory
- Microsoft Excel experience required
- Minimum 1 year experience of working in the retail and/or food & beverage industries is preferrable but not mandatory
- IT literacy
- Ability to organise, multitask, prioritise, and work under pressure
- Attention to detail
