Classic Grissini

Grissini breadsticks are the classic appetiser from Piemonte, in northern Italy, where the recipe was invented three centuries ago. These are hand made by a family bakery, which has produced grissini since 1945 using simple, quality ingredients. By following traditional production principles over large scale industrial methods, they continue to make genuine artisan grissini. This classic recipe uses locally milled flour and maize, as well as quality Italian extra virgin olive oil in the basic dough. Strips of dough are individually hand rolled and pulled into the characteristic grissini shape before baking.
